Bill Bishop – Owner, Licensed Funeral Director & Embalmer

Bill was born and raised in Hornell and is a graduate of St. Ann’s School and Hornell High School. He attended Alfred State College, where he majored in Business Administration and graduated from the former Simmons School of Embalming and Mortuary Science in Syracuse. He is an active member of Our Lady of the Valley Parish and attends St. Ann’s Church in Hornell, where he serves as a leader and reader. He is also a member of the Liturgy Committee and was instrumental in forming the Bereavement Committee, and assists with the annual Memorial Mass for deceased members of the parish each November.

Bill is currently a member of the Steuben County Funeral Directors Association and the National Funeral Directors Association.

Bill enjoys spending time for a few weeks each year at Keuka Lake.

Steve DeSanto – Owner, Licensed Funeral Director & Embalmer

Steve was born and raised in Hornell and is a graduate of Hornell High School and Simmons Institute of Mortuary Science in 1995. He lives in Hornell with his wife, Jenny. They have two children, Dominic and Gina, and two grandchildren, Italia and Julia.

He is a member of Our Lady of the Valley Parish and attends St. Ann’s Church in Hornell. He is also a member of the Steuben County Funeral Directors Association and the National Funeral Directors Association. He serves on the Board of Directors of the Hornell Steamers. He is also a part-time Realtor for the Hunt Agency in Hornell and a Sales Representative for St. George Monuments in Wayland.

He enjoys traveling, boating and spending time with his family and friends.

Hannah Gaines – Licensed Funeral Director & Embalmer

Hannah grew up in Lawrence, Kansas, where her family resides.
She graduated from Lawrence High School and Kansas City Kansas Community College with an Associate’s degree in Mortuary Science in 2023, moving to New York shortly after to serve the village of Hammondsport and the surrounding areas. 
Hannah joined the Hammondsport Fire Department in 2025 and serves as a volunteer firefighter. 
She is a member of the Finger Lakes Funeral Directors’ Association and the National Funeral Directors’ Association.
In her free time, Hannah spends time with her cat companion, Macoroni, crochets, and enjoys time outside as often as the weather allows.
