WAYNE – Dedra Ann Campbell, 63, of Wayne, NY, passed away suddenly on July 21, 2026.
Born on April 9, 1963, in the Town of Urbana, NY, Dedra, known lovingly as “DeDe,” “Momma-Dedra,” and “De” to those who cherished her, lived a life defined by warmth, generosity, and unwavering devotion to others.
Dedra dedicated over three decades as the bakery manager at P&C/ Tops Friendly Market in Penn Yan, NY, where her talent for baking and her sweet, kind nature touched countless lives. Her passion for cooking and baking extended well beyond the workplace. Whenever a family in her community experienced a loss, Dedra was quick to help provide a meal, offering comfort without hesitation and without expectation.
A tireless volunteer, Dedra served eight years on the auxiliary at the Wayne Volunteer Fire Department, six of which she proudly held the role of president. She gave selflessly to her community at every opportunity, welcomed everyone into her home, and was known to give the shirt off her back to anyone in need. She was a second mom to many and a friend to all. Her beloved Campbell’s Soup collection brought a smile to all who knew her well.
Above all, Dedra adored her five grandchildren and treasured every moment as their grandmother.
Dedra was preceded in death by her father, Donald G. Campbell, Sr.; her mothers, Diane M. Campbell and Lorraine Hotchkiss; and her brothers Donnie, Dennis, Danny, and David Campbell and Greg Andrews.
She is survived by her partner, Stephen Schwan; her son, Kyle Campbell; her daughters, Jennifer (Paul) Venema and Emily (Marshall Mulholland) Travis; her grandchildren, Weston, Avianna, and Mylah Venema, and Everett and Charlotte Mulholland; her sisters, Wakita Wise, Debbie Stevens, Diane Sutton, and Donna Hojnoski; her brother, Doug Campbell.
Calling hours will be held from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 2, at Bishop-Johnson & DeSanto Funeral Home, 35 Main Street, Hammondsport, NY, with the funeral service beginning at 2:00 p.m. A reception for friends and family will follow at the Wayne Volunteer Fire Department.
