Elaine Marie Bennett Miles, age 76, passed away peacefully in her sleep Sunday (April 6, 2025) at the beautiful Vincent Hospice House in Wayland, NY.
She was born on February 21, 1949 to her parents Clara Mae Bennett and Wayne Monroe Bennett.
Elaine was a strong and loving person, as well as very talented. She drove 18-wheeler trucks across the country with her husband, but also sewed beautiful clothes, quilts and pillows.
She married the love of her life, Edward” Marshall” Miles in 1974 and they had a daughter, Marsha Marie Miles. After Marsha passed in 2015, Elaine finished raising her two grandsons: Nick Bennett and Marshall Bennett.
She is also pre-deceased by her husband, her parents, her sisters: Irene, Regina, Joan and Sharon and step-son, Kenny.
She is survived by her sister Shirley, grandsons Nick and Marshall, close nieces: Roni and Anita, Step daughter and close friend Cathy Tuck, many nieces and nephews, cousins and step grandchildren.
She will be buried in Pleasant Valley Cemetery.
A celebration of Elaine’s life will be held later this summer.
