An avid reader, she could read a book a day. Doris also gifted her grandchildren with her beautiful homemade crocheted afghans. She also enjoyed gardening flowers and vegetables. However, the greatest joys of her life were her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She followed all their sports and school events.
Doris was a member of the former St. Brendan’s Church in Almond and later became a member of Our Lady of the Valley Parish and was a communicant of St. Ann’s Church n Hornell. She was deeply spiritual throughout her life, constantly praying and wearing her rosary bracelet.
