Scott A. Clark

HORNELL – Scott A. Clark, 50, passed away very unexpectedly Monday (Jan. 27, 2025) at his home on Wells Street.

Born in Hornell on Oct. 28, 1974 he was a son of Ronald and Beth (Dusinberre) Clark and has resided in the Hornell area for most of his life.

After receiving his GED, Scott graduated from the Automotive Service Technician program at the Wellsville Campus of Alfred State College and was the proud recipient of numerous degrees.

He was employed at Meyer’s RV and Marine in Bath, NY as a service and parts manager.

Scott truly loved his family and will be remembered as a devoted son and brother. He especially enjoyed traveling with his late brother Chris and fishing with his Dad at his favorite place, Keuka Lake.  An avid Buffalo Bills and NY Yankee fan, Scott would be considered as a “people pleaser” by his family and friends.

He is lovingly survived by his parents, Ronald and Beth Clark of Hornell; his sister-in-law, Neelofer Clark; a niece, Sienna Clark and a nephew, Ayden Clark all of Ft. Collins, CO; as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was predeceased by two brothers, Todd Clark and Christopher Clark.

To honor his wishes there will be no calling hours or funeral service. A celebration of Scott’s life will be held for his family at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, those wishing may contribute in his memory to their favorite charity.

The Bishop-Johnson & DeSanto Funeral Home, 285 Main St., Hornell is honored to assist Scott’s family with the arrangements.

Online condolences or remembrances of Scott are welcome below in the comment section or on the Facebook page of Bishop-Johnson & DeSanto Funeral Home.

  1. Uncle Ron and Aunt Beth,

In these moments of loss, words are useless. “I’m sorry” just doesn’t express what I feel for you and all of your family. My heart is filled with sorrow. He really was a good man. I have fond memories of Scott when we were young. May god take him into his loving embrace with eternal life.

  2. Scott you will always be in my heart I sit here remembering all the fun times back in a day especially during Thanksgiving I love you so very much You will be missed by many See u again

  3. Uncle Ron & Aunt Beth,

My heart is filled with sadness for you and for a world that was a better place with Scott in it. He was always so kind and thoughtful. I can’t remember any time I saw anything other than kindness in him. He didn’t need to be loud in the world, he didn’t ask for anything from anyone but he was always there for anyone he loved and even those he didn’t know.

Scott never had to wonder where he belonged in the world, he was always there amidst his family. The greatest gift is and was how tight knit your family is. Scott Chris and Todd were so blessed in each other and to have you both as their parents. He lived a life where he was well loved as each of you invested in each other. So many trips to visit each other, to spend time together, to create joy love and lasting memories.

To the fullest there was no taking the love you all had and have for each other for granted. The time you had was always spent together. The love you had was always share and show. So many trips and memories. In moments of sorrow he never had to wonder none of them did. They had each other they had you and they had so many loving cousins, aunts, uncles, niece, nephews, and honorary family members too.

Although my heart is sad for you for how you feel and how much love that will be reflected in grief. That love is still there and will come through grief because that’s where love goes when you cannot give it to the person you want with you.

I do not understand why someone so wonderful has to move on before we are ready for it but I do know that Scott knew he was loved and he was so blessed to be loved by such wonderful parents and family. Scott led a good life, was an amazing person, had so much love, his life was well lived.

You are both loved and in all of our hearts thank you for giving the world such a wonderful person

    With Love,
    Kelly, Keagan, and Lilith
