Linda A. Grimes
HAMMONDSPORT – Linda A. Grimes, 71, of Hammondsport, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday (Aug. 1, 2023) at Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre, Pa.
A graduate of Frostburg University in Maryland, Linda received a master’s degree in business administration.
She was a devout member of St. James Episcopal Church in Hammondsport.
An animal lover, Linda loved the Hammondsport area and enjoyed traveling.
She is lovingly survived by her husband of 40 years, Wayne; two brothers, Floyd Gooding, Jr. of Maryland and Brian (Jenny) Gooding of Oregon; as well as several nieces and nephews, who she adored.
Linda was predeceased by her parents, Floyd and Ruth (Berry) Gooding.
There will be no calling hours. A funeral service will be held in her memory at 10 a.m., Saturday (Aug. 19, 2023) at St. James Episcopal Church in Hammondsport.
In lieu of flowers, those wishing may contribute in her memory to St. James Episcopal Church, 46 Lake St., Hammondsport, NY 14840.
