William “Bill” T. Tobin

HAMMONDSPORT – Bill was born in San Antonio, Texas, to the late Thomas and Wilma (Corey) Tobin. He graduated from high school in Rochester, New York, and attended the University of Rochester. Bill served in the US Army. He later worked as a sales representative for an industrial chemical company for over 45 years.

Bill was a Master Freemason and a member of the Elks Club, Bath American Legion, and Shriners. He was very involved in politics, enjoyed golfing, and owned both a Christmas Tree Farm and an apartment building in Bath, New York.

Bill is lovingly survived by his wife of 27 years, Carin McUmber Tobin. He is also survived by his sister Connie Merkle and children Sean (Jill) Tobin, Kimberly Brunquell, Kelli Tobin, Barry (Laura) Tobin and Michael (Tonya) Rivera. Bill is also survived by grandchildren Beckett and Marlowe Tobin, Elizabeth and Donna Brunquell, Kali Tobin, Scarlett, Lilianna, and Isabella Rivera, Taylor and Riley Skeen, great-grandson Jamison Tobin and step-sons Gerald (Tracy) McUmber and Sean (Becky) McUmber and also step-grandchildren Raechel, Cody, and Taylor McUmber

Per Bill’s wishes, there will be no calling hours or service. He will be buried with his parents at the Clearview Cemetery in North Cohocton, Atlanta, New York.
