SHREWSBURY, NJ/HORNELL – On January 24, 2023 Thomas P. Argentieri passed away after a long and valiant battle with multiple myeloma.
Tom was born on September 25,1947 at Bolling Air Force Base in Washington D.C.  He was the eldest child of Dr. Mario and Dona Argentieri who predeceased him.
Tom is survived by his long-term partner and fiancé, Linda Forrest, his four children Justin (Ariane) Argentieri, Matthew (Serena) Argentieri, Meaghan Argentieri and Cale Argentieri.  His four grandsons, Garrett, Acelin, Julian and Sebastian Argentieri.  Tom is also survived by his siblings Linda (Lee) Rascovar, Paul (Lynne) Argentieri, Gerald (Cheryl) Argentieri, Diane “Dede” (Richard) Ranger, and Theodore (Diane) Argentieri.

Tom was a graduate of St. Ann’s School, Hornell High School, Georgetown University and Boston University Law School.  He served his country in the National Guard from 1969 to 1973.  After graduating from law school in 1973, Tom practiced law in the Monmouth NJ area for 45 years.

Tom was a true Renaissance man being an accomplished scholar, athlete and vocalist.   He obtained the rank of Eagle Scout and Order of the Arrow at the age of 12.   He was a National Merit Scholar Finalist, Four Letter Varsity Athlete, U.N. High School Delegate and the recipient of the Harvard Award.  At Georgetown, Tom quarterbacked the ¨Hoyas¨ his Junior and Senior years.  Tom loved to perform in the High School musicals and continued singing throughout his life in church choirs.

He loved spending time with his family, playing golf, beating Linda in Gin Rummy, cheering on the Yankees and Giants, snacking on a midnight bowl of ice cream, reading anything he could find and visiting the family cottage at Loon Lake.

Tom left a lasting impression of love, humor and most importantly kindness to everyone he met.  His strong faith sustained him through life and was reflected in his working at food banks and doing charitable and pro bono work at his church and community.

Burial services and a “Celebration of Life” will be held this summer in Hornell.  Details will be posted closer to the date.
