Thomas Joseph Huston, Jr.

AVOCA-Thomas Joseph Huston, Jr. was born on Dec. 10, 1980 and died on Thursday, Jan. 21, 2021; he was 40 years old.

He is survived by his two children, Lilian Huston and Alezander Huston; his parents, Renaat and Margaret Ravelingeen; two brothers, Edward B. (Jasmine) Hingula and Tony (Julie) Anderson; two sisters, Maureen Hingula and Michelle Ravelingeen; also two nieces, three nephews and several aunts and uncles.

He was predeceased by one brother, David Tallmadge; one nephew, Evan Rohala; maternal grandparents, Edward and Margaret Hingula; paternal grandparents, Daniel and Joanne Ravelingeen; and one aunt, Viola Hingula.

After graduating from Avoca Central School he attended college and received an associate’s degree in History. He loved to cook and was a very talented chef. He was most recently employed at the Village Tavern in Hammondsport as a short order cook.

Calling hours are 4-7 p.m. Saturday (Jan. 30, 2021) at the Avoca Funeral Home, 22 N. Main St., Avoca., where a funeral and committal service will be held following calling hours at 7 p.m. Saturday, with the Rev. James Jaeger officiating. THOSE ATTENDING THE CALLING HOURS OR FUNERAL SERVICE WILL BE REQUIRED TO WEAR A FACE MASK AND USE HAND SANITIZER AND PRACTICE SOCIAL DISTANCING AFTER ENTERING THE FUNERAL HOME.
