STEPHEN W. CAMPBELL

BATH-Stephen W. Campbell, 66, of E. William St., passed away unexpectedly Monday evening (June 18, 2018) at Ira Davenport Memorial Hospital in Bath, where he was taken after suddenly becoming ill at his home.

Born in Rochester on Oct. 19, 1951, he was a son of the late William V. and Leah B. (Carpenter) Campbell. Besides his parents, he was also predeceased by his nephew, Corey Michael Campbell.

A resident of Bath for most of his life, Steve was a graduate of Haverling High School.

He was previously employed at the Taylor Wine Co. and North American Van Lines, both in Hammondsport before he began his career as a wholesale jeweler and established Campbell Christopher & Co. in Bath; selling certified diamonds, as well as gold and silver.

Steve was a communicant of St. Mary’s Church in Bath and was also a Son of the Bath American Legion Post.

An avid pool player, he also especially loved to spend time at Dayton Beach, Fla.

His family includes his brother, Bruce “Bo” Campbell of Eustis, Fla.; his sister, Julie (Henry) Evingham of Bath; who remember him for being the best brother anyone could have; and his nephew, J.R. Evingham, also of Bath.
