SHARON M. CARR
HORNELL-Sharon M. Carr, 52, of High St., passed away unexpectedly Wednesday afternoon (May 2, 2018) at St. James Mercy Hospital in Hornell, where she was taken after becoming ill at Elderwood at Hornell.
Born in Newark, N.J. on June 11, 1965, she was a daughter James Cage, who predeceased her and Fanny (Green) Holloway, who survives. On April 30, 2012 she was married in Hornell to Vernon E. Carr, who predeceased her on Oct. 30, 2014, after only two years of marriage. Besides her father and husband, she was also predeceased by her two brothers, Michael Cage and Terry Cage; her sister, Jacqueline Cage; and her grandmother, Maner L. Green.
A former resident of Newark, N.J., Sharon has resided in Hornell since about 2011.
She attended school in Newark, N.J. where she was employed as a substance abuse counselor for the Renascence House.
Sharon enjoyed spending time doing crossword puzzles and word games.
Her loving family includes her mother, Fanny Holloway of Hornell; her two brothers, James Cage of Elmira and David Cage of Hornell; her three sisters-in-law, Sheila Cage of Rochester, Dawn Cage of Elmira and Sarah Cage of New Jersey; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.

There will be no calling hours. A funeral service will be held in her memory at 1 p.m. Saturday (May 19, 2018) at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 7858 Avenue of the Oaks, Arkport.
