Roy E. McLean, Sr.
CANASERAGA – Roy E. McLean, Sr., 69, passed away peacefully Tuesday morning (Jan. 16, 2024) at his home on South Church Street.
Born in Warsaw, NY on Jan. 12, 1955 he was a son of the late Irving and Elaine (Olmsted) McLean. Besides his parents, he was also predeceased by his wife, Mary; and one brother, Daryl McLean.
Roy spent his younger years in Caledonia, NY and attended York Central School. He resided in Ormond Beach, FL before moving to Canaseraga about 15 years ago.
An avid biker, Roy enjoyed spending time playing golf, darts, pool and spending time with friends. He will be remembered for his wonderful sense of humor and for being very kindhearted; always willing to help others in need.
He is lovingly survived by two children, Roy McLean, Jr. of Canaseraga and Candi (David) Tears of Scio, NY; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; one brother, Donald (Gloria) McLean of Victor, NY; four sisters, Terry Ann McLean and Roberta McLean both of Dansville, NY, Marcia (Jim) Wilkins of Mt. Morris, NY and Joyce Price of Canaseraga; also several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Relatives and friends are invited to join his family for a Celebration of Life beginning at 1 p.m. Saturday (Feb. 3, 2024) at the Canaseraga Fire Hall.
