BATH – With heavy hearts we mourn the loss of Richard L. “Rick” Flanagan, Jr. Richard passed peacefully in his home in Bath, NY with his loving wife, Jessica Flanagan on Saturday (Feb. 1, 2025), fighting cancer for the past 19 months.
Richard still lived his life on his terms. From day one Rick was balls to the walls, no fear, loving, and touched the hearts of all around him. His name will live on through so many, and I will live my life making sure his name will never be forgotten.
Rick lived his life enjoying his nice cold Coors light, riding his Harley’s but had a special place in his heart for his love of snowmobiling. Rick was born on Jan. 21, 1981, and was predeceased by his father, Dick Flanagan, Sr. He is survived by his loving wife, Jessica Flanagan; mother, Cindy Flanagan; sister, Helen; mother-in-law, Beverly Dillon; father-in-law, Dan Dillon; his sister and brother, Amanda and Bret Wenban; and his two pride and joys, Alexis Wenban and Dylan Wenban.
Rick doesn’t like funerals or calling hours, so we are going to be doing the celebration of life at the Savona Rod and Gun Club beginning at 3 p.m. on Saturday (Feb. 8, 2025) and we’ll continue celebrating him here on out.
I appreciate all that Rick’s life has touched, it is truly heartwarming to know how many people that loved him, he had that way about him. He is my best friend, the love of my life and until my last breath he will be with me. Thank you all!
