RAYMOND W. SICK

VICTOR/AVOCA-Raymond W. Sick, age 91 of Victor, formerly of Avoca, went to be with his Lord on Saturday morning (Sept. 10, 2011) at his home.
Born in Cohocton on Jan. 13, 1920, he was a son of the late William and Gertrude Razey Sick. On May 30, 1944 he was married in Cohocton to the former Theo E. Kidder, who survives.
A resident of Avoca for nearly eight decades and a graduate of Avoca Central School, Class of 1937, Ray has resided in Victor for the past 10 years.
For most of his life he was self employed as a farmer and retired as a truck driver for Polly-O Dairy in Campbell.
He was a member of the Avoca United Methodist Church and a former member of the Avoca Masonic Lodge.
Ray was passionate about agriculture, enjoyed carpentry, gardening and assisted in building his own home on Loucks Pond Road in Avoca.
His family includes his wife of 67 years, Theo; his three children, Douglas (Donna) Sick of Conklin, N.Y., Shelley (Larry) Bishop of Farmington, N.Y. and Jeffrey (Monika) Sick of O’Fallon, Ill.; his four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; also his nieces and nephews
Besides his parents, he was also predeceased by his brother, Woodruff Sick and his sister, Ruby Jones.
There will be no calling hours. A funeral service will be held in his memory at 11 a.m. Friday at the Avoca United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Fred Dyer officiating.
The family will provide flowers, and those wishing may contribute in his memory to either the Avoca United Methodist Church, 8593 Jacobs Ladder Road, Avoca, or to the Victor-Farmington Ambulance Corps, 1321 East Victor Road, Victor, N.Y. 14564.
