Linda Marlene Day (Hoose)
Bath – Linda H. Day, 83, of Bath, New York, died October 31, 2025, at Arnot Ogden Medical Center, Elmira, New York.
Linda Day was born August 26, 1942, the daughter of the late Lewis and Lolita Hoose of Pulteney, New York. She graduated from Hammondsport Central School in 1960.
Surviving are her daughters, Karen (Richard) Buck of Fairbanks, Alaska, and Donna Day of Corning, New York. 5 Grandchildren- Chad Garey, Andrew Buck of Fairbanks, Alaska. Robert Day, Michael Sykapi of Corning, New York. 2 great-grandchildren- Timothy Garey of Fairbanks Alaska and Maria Perry of Corning, New York. Several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her grandson Chet Garey of Fairbanks, Alaska. Her sister Rosemary (Gary) Loucks of Hammondsport, New York, her brother, Curtis(Hazel)Hoose of Branchport, New York, and infant Brother Marshall Hoose of Pulteney, New York.
She loved her grandchildren, and her cats and she was a collector of many things.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Linda’s memory to your favorite animal shelter.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm, June 13, 2026, at Glenview Cemetery, Pulteney, New York and is open to anyone who wants to attend.
