LAWRENCE MICHAEL “MICKEY” HARRIS

COHOCTON-Lawrence Michael “Mickey” Harris, 24, died Monday (Sept. 13, 2010) at his home on Hillside Lane in Cohocton.
Born in the Town of Urbana on Jan. 25, 1986, he was a son of Michael and Tina Tracy Harris, who survives.
A resident of the Addison and Avoca areas, Mickey was a graduate of Addison Central School and had been employed by Pizza Hut, Demets and Airflow.
Mickey will be remembered for being very creative, funny and always being the “class clown.” He enjoyed tinkering, building things as well as doing voice impersonations. He also loved music and helping others.
A devoted father, son, boyfriend, brother and grandson, his family includes his parents, Michael and Tina Harris of Avoca; his girlfriend, Sami Truex of Cohocton; his son, Mason Harris of Cohocton; his two daughters, Mailyn and Amelia Harris both of Henrietta; his two brothers, Michael (Katrina) Harris of Hornell and Steven (Shelly) Harris of Bath; his sister, Lauri (Charles) Ray of Bath; his grandfather, Dana “Ike” Tracy; his grandparents, Dolores and Jack Tietjen; also his aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was predeceased by his grandmother, Linda Tracy; his grandparents, Lawrence and Charlene Harris and his father-in-law, Martin Truex.
Calling hours will be from 3-5 p.m. Saturday at the Avoca United Methodist Church. Interment will be at Nondaga Cemetery in Bath at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, those wishing may contribute to a college fund that will be established for his children in care of Tina Harris, 4600 Reservoir Rd., Avoca, N.Y. 14809.
