Lawrence F. Frascella
Lawrence “Larry” Frascella of Hammondsport, New York passed away on April 21, 2021 at the age of 68. Words cannot express the loss his family and friends feel.
Larry was born in Trenton, New Jersey to Lawrence and Anna (Ulla) Frascella, and he grew up there with his brother, Anthony. While in high school, he met his wife of 51 years, Mary Ann. Together, “Larry and Mary Ann” embarked on a lifetime journey filled with wonderful memories.
Shortly after high school he began a long career with Philips Lighting, which included positions in Warren, Pennsylvania; Somerset, New Jersey; Bath, New York; and Shanghai, China. His dedication and effectiveness was recognized by his colleagues, who also appreciated the sense of humor he brought to his work.
After his retirement, Larry pursued his passion for music and developed into an avid bread baker. Like his father before him, he also enjoyed caring for the family’s cats and dogs. A man of deep Catholic faith, he would regularly offer religious books to others as gifts.
However, nothing brought him greater joy than spending time with his family. A devoted and loving husband and father, his five children, Dawn, Larry (wife Jennifer), Marianne, David, and Daniel (wife Margareta) were always guided by his warm and unfailing encouragement and support. His grandchildren, Conner, Colton, Corrine, and Dominic could always count on his smile, hugs, and affection.
Calling hours will be from 9am – 11am at LaMarche Funeral Home in Hammondsport on Monday, April 26, his birthday. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:30am at St. Gabriel’s Church, Hammondsport. Burial will be at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Corning. In lieu of flowers, please donate to one’s church or charity of choice in his name.
