HAMMONDSPORT – Joanne M. Beam of Hammondsport passed away on Wednesday (July 10, 2024). She was born October 19, 1938, the daughter of John and Frieda Beam. 

Joanne worked for Steuben County from shortly after graduation until she retired. She was an avid book reader and shopper, and she loved cats. 

Joanne is predeceased by her parents John and Frieda Beam, two sisters and their spouses, two brothers and their spouses, one niece, and two nephews.

She is survived by several nieces and nephews and many great and great-great nieces and nephews. 

As per her wishes, there will be no calling hours or services. 

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Fred Harriet Taylor Library or a charity of your choice.
