JEROME “JERRY” EDWARD WRIGHT
BATH-Jerome “Jerry” Edward Wright, 85, of Bath and recently of Darway Nursing Home in Forksville, Pa., went to be with the Lord on Thursday, December 15, 2011. He was born August 11, 1926 to Emma Corwin and Lewis Wright of Rutland Township, Pa.
He is survived by his first wife and long time friend, Edith; seven children, Bob (Jeanette) Wright of Pulteney, N.Y., Dianne Gerych of Bath, N.Y., Sandra (Harold) Gee of Horsheads, N.Y., David (Gui) Wright of Salinas, Ca., Durwin Wright of Horseheads, N.Y., Karen (Rick) Saltsman of Bath, N.Y. and Todd Wright of Savona, N.Y. The proud grandfather of thirteen and great grandfather of 16; also survived by three sisters, Martha Morrell of Wellsboro, Pa., Audrey Bump of Bath , N.Y. and Norma (Dean) Wilcox of Dade City, Fl. and one brother, Carol (Pearl) Wright of Little Marsh, Pa.
Jerome is predeceased by his parents and three sisters, Mildred, Virginia and Shirley and two brothers, Art and James; also, his very special friend and companion, Alice Horton.
He served in the Army during WW II and was a long time member of the American Legion and Moose Club. Jerome retired from Taylor Wine Co. after more than thirty years of service. He was a “jack of all trades” and also enjoyed photography, country music, old movies, riding motorcycle and most all being with his family.
Arrangements were made with the Avoca Funeral Home, 22 N. Main St., Avoca. There will be no calling hours and private burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
