George H. Mullikin, Jr.

  BATH-George H. Mullikin, Jr., 93, of Newton Road, passed away Thursday afternoon (Dec. 22, 2022).

Born in Troupsburg, NY on March 29, 1929, he was a son of the late George H. Mullikin, Sr. and Mildred (VanOrman) Mullikin. Besides his parents, he was also predeceased by his wife of 69 years, Lorena (Adams) Mullikin; one daughter, Debra (Mullikin) Warner; one grandson, Mark Saltsman; six brothers, Clayton Mullikin, Ivan “Harvie” Mullikin, Ronald Mullikin, Royce Mullikin, Howard Mullikin and Norman “Dale” Mullikin; three sisters, Mildred (Mullikin) Loucks, Shirley (Mullikin) Elliott and Barbara (Mullikin) Hart.

George proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War from Jan. 18, 1951 until his honorable discharge on Jan. 1, 1953.

Throughout the years George was employed at the Arkport Dairy, Babcock Ladder Co. and the Town of Howard Highway Department.

In his spare time, he loved to go camping, tinkering in his shop and spend time with his family.

He is lovingly survived by two sons, George (Elizabeth) Mullikin of Redwood, NY and James (Anna) Mullikin of Bath, NY; 10 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a celebration of George’s life from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday (Jan. 21, 2023) at the VFW, 7230 State Route 54 in Bath, NY.
