Forrest H. (Woody) Clark Jr.
HAMMONDSPORT – Forrest H. (Woody) Clark Jr. passed away peacefully on Friday, October 24, 2025, at the age of 82.
Forrest was a 1962 graduate of Haverling High School, where he played football and baseball. From there, he went to Alfred State College for two years and finished his schooling with a BS in agronomy from the University of Georgia.
Forrest worked for Taylor Winery, Phillips, and ended his career working for Mercury Aircraft.
Forrest was an avid fisherman and even built his own custom fishing rods. He enjoyed watching baseball, football, and basketball. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family. He enjoyed his daily morning coffee with his close friends at Crooked Lake.
Forrest was predeceased by his parents, Forrest and Loretta Clark, his brother Daniel Clark, his wife Mary Beth Clark, and his daughter-in-law Sarah Clark.
He is survived by his sons, Christopher (Mary) Clark, Patrick Clark, and Andrew Clark; grandchildren Bryce Clark, McKenna Clark, Landon Clark, Madison Gaskins, Carter Affeldt, and Connor Bjorklund; niece Alyson Clark, and nephews Michael Shoemaker-Moyle, Richard Shoemaker-Moyle, and Justin Clark.
The family of Forrest H. (Woody) Clark will receive friends and family on Thursday, October 30, 2025, from 5:00-7:00 PM at the Bishop and DeSanto Funeral Home, 35 Main Street, Hammondsport. The funeral will take place at 11:00 AM, Friday, October 31, 2025, at the First Presbyterian Church, Bath, NY. Burial will be in Pleasant Valley Cemetery, Hammondsport, NY.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Forrest’s name to the Finger Lakes SPCA,72 Cameron Street, Bath, N.Y. 14810, or the Fred and Harriett Taylor Memorial Library, PO Box 395, Hammondsport, NY 14840.
