ELMINA (JONES) COOK

BATH-Elmina (Jones) Cook, 83 of Bath passed away peacefully early Saturday morning (Jan. 17, 2015) at Ira Davenport Memorial Hospital in Bath, after a short illness.
Born on April 27, 1931 she was a daughter of the late Homer and F. Adelia Jones. On March 22, 1952 she was married to Carlton Cook, who survives. She and Carlton lived in Sarasota, Fla. for 20 years before returning to Bath.
Elmina worked for many years in the Bank of Avoca.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her three siblings, Bernard (Ruby) Jones, Wendell (Dorothy) Jones and Winifred (Lawrence) Bauter; also Carlton’s sister, Ruth Silsbee; her granddaughter, Michele and her great-great-grandson, Hayden.
Surviving are her husband, Carlton; her daughter, Elaine (Alphonse) LaForge, her four grandchildren, Melinda Drake, Jeff (Kelly) Drake, Michelle LaForge and Greg (Cindy) LaForge; her five great-grandchildren, Samantha, Melissa, Nicholas, Bryce and Jilleann; also her nieces, nephews and her brother-in-law, Ward Silsbee.
The Avoca Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Elmina (Jones) Cook.
Calling hours are 6-8 p.m. Tuesday (today) at the Avoca Funeral Home, 22 N. Main St., Avoca, where a funeral and committal service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday. Burial will be in the Bath National Cemetery.
