CLAYTON R. SNYDER

SAVONA-Clayton R. Snyder, 73, of 7482 Selleck Road, passed away Thursday morning (June 28, 2012) at the Vincent House in Wayland.
Born in Naples on April 11, 1939, he was a son of the late Paul and Esther Jay Snyder.
Clayton attended school in Kanona and Naples and was employed as a mechanic for John Shanks in Naples.
A “jack of all trades”, he enjoyed working on cars as well singing and playing the harmonica.
His family includes his wife of 54 years, Rose Hughes Snyder; his six daughters, Tammy (Joe) Pragle of Cohocton, Susie (Chuck) Garrison of Atlanta, Julie (Bill) Walters of Avoca, Bonnie Fetter of Somerville, Pa., Mary (Frank) Bates of Bath and Wendy (Chris) Comstock of Savona; his two sons, Mike (Theresa) Snyder of Cameron and Richard Snyder of Corning; his 20 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; his sister, Sharon Hayward of Naples; his brother, Milton (Nancy) Snyder of Naples; also many nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Georgia and his brother, Melvin.
There will be a hour of calling from 1-2 p.m. Monday at the Avoca Funeral Home, 22 N. Main St., Avoca, where a funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. Committal services and interment will be at Vale of Rest Cemetery, Avoca.
