His peers considered him a pioneer and he was a perfector in the art of storing potatoes for the late markets. He was also a member and past president of the Avoca Rod & Gun Club and a member of the Historical Society of Avoca.
He loved fishing, golf, RV traveling, bus trips and playing cards.
Carlton was a loving husband and father who enjoyed life and was very proud of his family and their accomplishments.

Stowe; his five grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; his brother Merlyn “Pat” (Jane) Stowe; also many nieces, nephews; his cousin, Shirley Wetmore and several second cousins.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Elton Stowe.
To honor his wishes there will be no calling hours.
