BRENDAN T. CURRAN

SEMINOLE, FLA./HORNELL-Brendan T. Curran, 58, of Seminole, Florida, died on March 17, 2012, after a brief illness.
Brendan was the son of the late Donald J. Curran, Sr., and Eleanor E. Curran. He was also the stepson of the late Jeanne Curran.
Born April 21, 1953 in Hornell, Brendan was a resident of Hornell from 1953-1963, during which time his father was the business manager of The Evening Tribune newspaper. He was a 25 year resident of Florida and a U.S. Army veteran who served in the military police. Brendan was an active and involved member of his Catholic church and was an avid sports fan who was especially faithful to his beloved Red Sox, but above all Brendan was devoted to his family.
He is survived by his brothers, Paul of Frederick, MD, Donald Jr. of Ocala, FL, Brian of Chapel Hill, NC, and John of Winston-Salem, NC; his sisters Deirdre Felton of Rockland, ME and Kathleen Vance of Tacoma, WA and his step-sister Ann Hoyt of Port Charlotte, FL; also several nieces and nephews.
Brendan was a communicant of St. Ann’s Church and attended St. Ann’s School in Hornell. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday (May 4) at St. Ann’s Church, Hornell. It was Brendan’s wish to be buried at St. Mary’s Cemetery, beside his mother, in the town where he had spent some of his happiest years.
