AUDREY A. SEARS

HORNELL-Audrey A. Sears, 85, of 333 Grand St., passed away peacefully, in the presence of her loving family, Monday morning (Sept. 22, 2008) at McAuley Manor in North Hornell, after a long illness.
Born in England on July 5, 1923, she was the daughter of the late John and Mary Elizabeth Risenborough Love. She was married to Theodore Larnard, who predeceased her in 1977; she later married Howard Sears who predeceased her in 2007. Besides her parents and husbands, she was also predeceased by her three brothers.
She graduated from school in England, where she was employed in an ammunition plant during World War II.
Audrey has resided in Hornell for most of her life and for about 18 years she was associated with the foster grandparent program for the Hornell City School District at the Columbian School and most recently at the North Hornell School.
A very active member of Christ Episcopal Church in Hornell, she was also a former member of the Sweet Adelines.
Audrey enjoyed her daily cup of tea as well as spending time knitting, crocheting and collecting tea pots. She will also be remembered for her beautiful flowers that she love to grow at her home.
Her family includes her two sons, Mark (Donna) Larnard of Hornell, David (Chris) Larnard of Arkport; her daughter, Sandra (Paul) Johnson of Almond; also her eight grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
Calling hours are from 6-9 p.m. today at the Bishop & Johnson Funeral Home, Inc., 285 Main St., Hornell. A Requiem Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Christ Episcopal Church, with the Rev. Thomas Gramley officiating. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Canisteo.
